The Musee Conti Wax Museum uses 154 delicately crafted life-sized wax figures to tell the incredible history of New Orleans. From Napoleon is his bathtub to Voodoo priests, the exhibits paint an incredibly accurate and life-like picture of the story of New Orleans. Such legendary displays as recreations of costumes from the Knights of Sparta ball, scenes of the Grand Duke Alexis's visit, a figure of Chief Montana of the Yellow Pocahontas Tribe, and a miniature recreation of the 400 block of Royal Street during an early parade, are all brought to life before your eyes.
The Haunted Dungeon exhibit strays from the historically accurate in order to simply give visitors an incredible scare. The Legend Room explores the mysterious world of Voodoo rituals. A 45-minute presentation guides visitors through the history, rituals, and fantastic tales of New Orleans Voodoo. Visitors are given a sample of Voodoo Love Potion drinks.
The Musee Conti Wax Museum is located in the Historic French Quarter between Burgundy & Dauphine, one-and-a-half blocks from Bourbon Street. The museum offers tours to school groups, and individuals and is perfect for private parties. The second floor is available for special events (seating up to 350, with room for 750 cocktail).
